Direct Response Marketing Techniques - Do not Be So Direct

Direct Response Marketing techniques should be used on your budget. Some techniques are simple, others a larger investment.

Sometimes it seems that have a direct response marketing techniques, all but once. Direct-response marketers to prove very quickly that a cover color that always works better than another. Sans serif attracts 22% more than sans serif. Multi-level marketing process of the three levels offer more back-end than other methods, the four or more stages. Typically, these Direct Response Marketing professionals have all the documents to prove their methods work better than the next ...

But sometimes use Direct Response Marketing techniques to take, use it in ways that are indirect. Rules can be broken if the situation calls for the campaign, and the new rules should be established.

I was hired by another company to manage the business for a very nice hotel in California. The job was simple. It was the opening of a new beautiful, luxurious, to announce a very expensive hotel. Easy, right?

Remember that I just set up for the job, so I have no experience with the company I had to do. So I was ready with its rules and how can I see fit. What should I bring to the table? I was going to my knowledge of direct response marketing techniques by the book.

So I started with a form letter in a standard window envelope, and I was ready to take it. I hope and was ready to do much more, because the hotel deserves a better start, or at least that's how I felt personally. A hotel as nice as it required new people who are inside the walls stay nice luxury to be introduced. And sleep on the large beds, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

I was to "experience" for the people of the hotel experience with my sales services in the hope, and I was not too convinced that a standard letter in an envelope window mode message that I hoped would bring.

So what did I do? I did what I always tell others to do, I took care of the project, as they wanted me, I did what I felt would be best. I showed them the ideas that I had with the envelope and letter, the guy had serif, but when I go a step further.

I showed them something that I thought was worthy of the big hotels. It was a multiple color printing, bleeding brochure looked great, because it was exactly what the hotel, felt inside and out. Rather than try and sell hotel in words, as I did in photographs that capture the size of the hotel. Now I'm not saying I'm a genius, but the direct response marketing techniques really work!

So, what the result was going against the grain so to speak? It was a resounding success. So be looking, yes, you should direct response marketing techniques far from right!

So what did I learn from all this? I've learned that it is better to follow instructions, it is a step further and follow your intuition.
